hey y’all.
this is late this week because I had trouble putting together the energy to much of anything this week. the constant anxiety and stress finally shut me down for a bit, but I am still going to share some great things that happened this week in my world:
Tattoo
Shannon came in and added another Wisconsin tribute to her arms while we shot the shit. Shannon is good people.
Still chipping away at Phoenix’s whole body (basically). This week we added some trap/neck moments. Also included is a rare photo of me working.
we did a flash event to support Animal Friends Alliance. while it wasn’t as busy as we had hoped, I did love getting to spend time with my very cool and very weird tattoo friends all day! if you don’t already, please follow Christel Perkins and Liz Greeen on all their platforms.
Christel and I will be at Middle of the Map tattoo convention in Des Moines, Iowa in early April! please come get tattooed! shoot us messages if you would like to book a spot at the convention.
Dance
Hip Hop 1/2 finished up Get Busy and is going to tackle Tick Tock by Joji next.
Burlesque 1/2 moved on from I Disagree and into Emergency by Icona Pop.
Burlesque 2/3 really wrung out every moment of Sweat to get prepped for Virile by Moses Sumney.
if you would like to know more about the place I dance at, please check out Impulse Dance & Fitness. wonderful community and great instructors, if I do say so myself.
Writing
Tuesday was the last novel writing class of this immersive I was in. I got to meet so many wonderful writers that have stellar work, two of which are posted as recommendations on my page. I cannot wait to keep working with and reading stuff from them, and you better believe I will be shouting out their projects when they debut!
spent a lot of my down time this week working on writing submissions to various publications and prizes. keep your fingers crossed for me!
since this week was pretty slow in the tattoo world, I managed to plot and roughly map out novel #3. once we get moved, I am gonna start digging into that and churning out some pages!
Kitties
Guinness is up to date on all his vaccines, despite hating going to the vet!
Alice heard there was going to be warmer weather this up coming week and is already scheduling out her porch time.
Life
we got to see our friend Nick Holland perform at Second Chance Comedy Show at the Comedy Fort on Sunday. the whole show was great, but nick really took me out almost immediately with his opening joke. please check out his comedy as well as Second Chance because they do amazing work for people in recovery.
saw companion in theaters which brought up some interesting questions about how we would program our robot boyfriends if we had them. fun movie and worth a stream!
finished reading Meander, Spiral, Explode and started Rethinking Narcissism. Still reading The Djinn Waits A Hundred Years and going to start We Need to Talk About Kevin soon.
